*Coming back after a great little half marathon run on the beach in honor of Eliza Fletcher (RIP)
In 2022, a few weeks after comedian Bob Saget (RIP) contracted Covid and fell & hit his head in Orlando, sustaining fatal head injuries, the same thing nearly happened to me! Let's hope it's not due to a new strain of Covid going around Central Florida...
I got Covid & surprisingly, I passed out on my feet & fell backwards, hitting my head against a ceramic tile floor. In the emergency room, I was diagnosed with Covid, Covid induced Pneumonia, Syncope & a fractured neck. The doctors said I'm lucky I didn't have a brain hemorrhage after the fall.
I survived & eventually made it out of the hospital, feeling much weaker & wearing this huge cervical collar neck brace. Omicron is supposed to be a milder strain of Covid, but whatever I caught nearly killed me! Thank you to the doctors, nurses & everyone who treated me & helped me get thru it all.
